The WATT Token Will Have A Transparent Third Party Audit And Verification System
We plan to work with reputable third party audit organizations to develop a transparent system that allows the WATT Token/Solar Watt generation ratio to be audited and verified. We plan to post all audit results on the WATT Token website every quarter.
The WATT Token Supports Carbon Credit Certification
We plan for the WATT token to be carbon credit certified via the Verified Carbon Standard Program (VCS Program), which is administered by the Washington, nonprofit organization Verra (see verra.org). It is the most widely used voluntary carbon standard available.
WATT Token Supply (WATT) must equal Solar Watt Generation (Solar Watts) Within ~5%
We plan to develop a transparent third-party audit and verification system to independently confirm that the number of Solar Watts being produced (over an average 90 day period) equals the number of WATT Tokens in supply within a 5% margin of error. Keep in mind there is a delay of about ~18 months, from the time new WATT Tokens are minted to when new Solar Watt generation will be built and brought online. We plan to develop and publish a Solar Watt production counter that will be displayed on our website for all to see,
Carbon Credit Certified Via The VCS Program
We plan to have all WATT Token Solar Watt generation to be carbon credit certified via the VCS Program, which allows certified projects to turn their greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions and removals into carbon credits.
